Before leaving for spring break, Lander University students took time to fill “Blessing Bags” for firefighters in the City of Greenwood. Service interns in Lander’s Office of Student Life assisted students with filling bags containing hydration sticks, treats and handwritten thank-you notes to firefighters. Caroline Dickey, left, a junior exercise science major from Lexington, and Rida Hirani, a freshman biology major from Greenwood, took part in the project. The Office of Student Life also sponsors Service Saturdays in the community among its many other initiatives.
